In Lincoln County Georgia are three distinctive campgrounds which offer the getaway we all deserve.
Clarks Hill – Strom Thurmond Lake is the Largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi River.
Our campgrounds are unique…. You and your family can kick back, sleep late, enjoy some fishing, hot coffee in the morning while looking out over the lake, and conversations around the fire at night. No busy interstate noise, only the sound of crickets nearby. No bright lights, only the stars and moon, a whole lot of nature and beautiful Georgia pines & hardwoods to keep you cool during the summer time.
A lot of History is embedded in our county for those who love going back in time.

Daily Pass for Campgrounds $5.00 / Cherokee Day Use for Beach area $10.00 per day - Boat Launch $5.00 per day.
* Only Golf carts allowed for $5.00 per stay permit. ATV & Off-Road vehicles Not Allowed
BROAD RIVER CAMPGROUNDS
Broad River Campground is located on the south bank of the Broad River, where it joins the Savannah River, on Clarks Hill - J. Strom Thurmond Lake – the largest Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi River. This quiet, rural area is very historic, near the now-flooded town of Petersburg.
CLAY HILL CAMPGROUNDS
Clay Hill Park and Campground is located on the north side of Georgia's Little River Section of Clarks Hill Lake. The shoreline of Clay hill offers excellent fishing for Bluegill and other species of Bass. A boat launching ramp is located within the campground.
HESTER'S FERRY CAMPGROUNDS
For the ultimate get-away-from-it-all experience, try Hester's Ferry Campground on Clark Hill - J. Strom Thurmond Lake. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by relaxing in this quiet community, visit the town just a few miles away - and just sit back and enjoy in the 26 shaded campsites on the lake.
